Dept of Library & Information Science organizes Lecture on Academic Integrity and Plagiarism

JAMMU, April 10: Department of Library and Information Science organized an extension lecture on “Academic Integrity and Plagiarism” with a special focus on Plagiarism for all the M.Lib.I.Sc students, Research Scholars and Faculty members. Professor Satish Malik,  Librarian and Former Head of DLIS, M. D. U Rohtak was the resource person who delivered the lecture.

Professor Satish Malik, defined the concept of plagiarism and presented various forms of it. It was concluded that the best way to avoid plagiarism is to follow students throughout their engagements in the class and by involving them in other forms of assignments.

Earlier, Professor Sangita Gupta, Head of the department, where she introduced the key speaker Professor Satish Malik by highlighting his significant accomplishments. The teachers, students, and research scholars of the department attended the programme. The programme proved informative and insightful for all the participants and received a lot of appreciation from the faculty members and the scholars for the successful lecture completion.
