Deputy Commissioner Leh Visits Chuchot Amid Water Logging situation

Leh, October 29, 2024: The Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve today visited Chuchot Shamma to assess the water logging situation in the area. The area experienced an unprecedented water logging situation due to which damage to some residential houses and fields was informed.

The Nambardar of the area requested for an immediate assistance following which the DC along with Superintendent Engineer, PWD, Leh; Superintendent Engineer PHE, Leh; Tehsildar, Leh ; Executive Engineer, I&FC, Leh, Executive Engineer PHE and Naib Tehsildar Chuchot besides other field revenue staffs visited the affected area.

The Deputy Commissioner’s visit aims to address concerns and find solutions to the situation. Disaster management, irrigation, and flood control departments have been alerted to take necessary and quickest possible actions.
