Deputy Commissioner reviews implementation of Rural Development Schemes in Samba District

 SAMBA, May 16: Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma today reviewed the implementation of Rural Development Department schemes, focusing on the financial and physical status of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Grameen (Clean India Mission – Rural) initiative.

 The aim was to evaluate the progress made and identify areas that require attention for effective implementation.

During the review, Deputy Commissioner Sharma issued crucial directions to the District Panchayat Officer and Block Development Officers of nine blocks, namely Purmandal, Samba, Bari-Brahmana, Ramgarh, Vijaypur, Ghagwal, Sumb, Nud, Ghagwal, and Rajpura. These directions aimed to streamline efforts and enhance the impact of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Grameen scheme in the rural areas of Samba District.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of proper utilization of funds, timely completion of projects, and the need for active community participation to achieve the objectives of the scheme. He emphasized the significance of maintaining cleanliness, improving sanitation facilities, and promoting hygiene practices in rural communities.
