Deputy Commissioner reviews Police Construction Division Works in Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, MARCH 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan today conducted a review of the ongoing Police Construction Division (PCD) works, with a focus on expediting the work of the Battalion campus, including the barracks for Jawans.

The review meeting was held to monitor the progress of the project funded under the SRE, at the cost of Rs 50 crores.
Dy. Commandant Narinder Singh Parihar, AEE, JE of PCD briefed the DC about the projects and the current status of the construction work.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the timely completion of the Battalion campus will allow the relocation of Jawans from makeshift government buildings, ensuring that they are properly accommodated in the new facilities.
The ExEn PHE and ExEn PDD were directed to prepare the estimates in a week’s time.
Pertinent to mention that the LG during the DM- SSP conference had directed the DCs to monitor all SRE related projects to speed up development. The DC expressed confidence that the ongoing work would be completed soon. He asked the construction agency and the contractors to speed up the work and ensure adherence to the quality parameters. It was decided to have a regular monthly review.
The DC also advised the Officers of the Battalion to revive plantation in the campus for land stabilization and aesthetic of the area.
The DC was accompanied by ACR Kishtwar Idrees Lone, CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali, Dy. Commandant Narinder Singh, AEE JPDCL Kishtwar Sudheer Sharma, and other Senior Officers and concerned Officials.
