Deputy Commissioner reviews progress of Jal Jeevan Mission Schemes in Rajouri
RAJOURI, JULY 28: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting to evaluate the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission schemes, aimed to provide tap water connections to rural households.
Underlining the significance of success of the mission, the DC stressed on ensuring quality works, timely completion of the projects and effective supervision. The meeting shed light on the remarkable progress already made in Rajouri, with 293 JJM schemes approved and work underway on 216 schemes.
To expedite the completion of the schemes, the DC urged officers to adopt a result-driven approach and adherence to timelines. With focused efforts and dedicated work, the mission is fast becoming a reality, promising to deliver a healthier and happier life for the region’s populace.
The DC emphasized the need for a holistic approach towards water management, emphasizing that it is not just about providing access to clean drinking water but also about preserving and sustainably utilizing this vital resource.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the District Administration to implement the Jal Jeevan Mission effectively, ensuring that rural areas have access to the basic necessity – clean drinking water.
