Deputy Secretary of Information Technology, UT Ladakh Abdul Majid Tantary Graces Launch of Online Portal for National Awards for e-Governance Scheme 2024

Leh, Dec. 08: The Deputy Secretary of Information Technology, UT Ladakh Abdul Majid Tantary presided over the launch ceremony of the online portal for registration and submission of nominations under the National Awards for e-Governance Scheme, 2024, at Civil Secretariat, Leh.

The online portal is accessible at www.nceg.gov.in and was officially inaugurated in New Delhi by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, Government of India.

Deputy Secretary Abdul Majid Tanatry emphasized the essential role that technology plays in enhancing governance and public service delivery in the region. These awards recognize and promote excellence in leveraging technology to streamline governance processes, foster transparency, and improve citizen services, he stated.

The Deputy Secretary highlighted the transformative impact of digital innovations on governance. The launch of the online portal is a testament to our commitment to advancing e-governance in Ladakh, he stated.

The online portal facilitates seamless registration and submission of nominations across five distinct categories under the National Awards for e-Governance Scheme, 2024. The categories encompass a broad spectrum, including citizen-centric services, innovative use of technology, and excellence in government process re-engineering.

As the portal goes live, it opens doors for the recognition and celebration of innovative e-governance initiatives that are shaping the future of governance in India. Stakeholders, organizations, and individuals are encouraged to actively participate by submitting their nominations through the user-friendly portal, thereby contributing to the ongoing narrative of progress through technology.

The launched session was attended by officials and officers of the Information Technology Department, UT Ladakh.
