Dharmarth Trust celebrates 78th Independence Day with great patriotism
JAMMU: The J&K Dharmarth Trust celebrated the 78th Independence Day of India with immense fervor and patriotism at the Trust’s Central Office in Jammu.
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Brig (Retd) R.S. Langeh, President of Dharmarth Trust, and Ashok Kumar Sharma, (SSP Retd), Secretary of the Trust, in the presence of the Trust’s employees and staff members. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem, filling the air with patriotic zeal.
In his address to the gathering, the Trust’s President extended warm greetings to all employees and their families on behalf of the Chairman Trustee and Trustees. He highlighted the historical significance of Independence Day. He remarked that when the British left the country, there was nothing, but in 77 years of struggle, our country is now competing with world leaders. He said today India is on the path of progress and development. He underscored the importance of unity, stating that when people work together, India will once again become a “Golden Sparrow.”
The President further elaborated on the legacy of the Dharmarth Trust, established by Maharaja Gulab Singh with the aim of promoting Hinduism and maintaining the temples and shrines in Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed the collective responsibility of everyone to contribute to the growth and prosperity of the Trust.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Secretary of the Trust, reflected on the sacrifices made by freedom fighters in their struggle for independence. He emphasized the moral duty to stand with the country and contribute in every possible way to its welfare. He urged the employees and Pujaris to unite and work together for the betterment of the Trust.
The celebration concluded with a high tea arranged for all participants.
