Starts Langer service at Shankaracharya Temple

SRINAGAR, May 06: Brig Retd R.S Langeh, President J&K Dharmarth Trust said that the Trust is committed to provide state of art facilities to the devotees visiting various temples and shrines in the Union Territory of J&K.

He was speaking on the occasion of commencement of Bhandara at world famous Shankaracharya Temple here. The Bhandara comprising traditional Rajma- Chawal and sweetened Halwa which was liked by the devotees, who visited the aforesaid religious destination to pay obeisance to Lord Shiva. On the first day, more than 4,500 devotees have taken Prasad from Langer service. The temple is situated on the top of the Shankaracharya Hill on the Zabarwan Range in Srinagar.

Trust’s President assured that this Bhandara will continue in the coming time also as a regular feature to facilitate the visitors and devotees. He said that Dharmarth Trust, an over a century old religious institution is keen to provide all kinds of facilities to the devotees visiting the Shankaracharya Temple and other shrines and temples looked after by the Trust.

He said that the Hon’ble Trustee, Dr Karan Singh ji has given standing instructions to the management of the Trust to make elaborate arrangements for all the devotees visiting the shrines run by this religious institution as the sole aim of launch of this Trust over hundred years back was to facilitate and educate the visitors about the rich culture and traditions of Duggarland without any discrimination or prejudice.
