DHEW Shopian organises awareness programme under BBBP

Highlights women empowerment schemes

SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 01: The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Shopian under Mission Shakti today organised an awareness programme, at Keller, Shopian under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, a step towards empowerment of girls through education.

The programme was attended by Sarpanch, Panchs, AWWs, Asha workers, social activists, local women and students.

DHEW officials highlighted the essence of empowerment of women, their role in society and encouraged the women to fight against all the odds of the society including gender-based discrimination.

The speakers and community leaders shared their insights and stories to motivate the young girls and encouraged them to pursue their dreams in diverse fields.

The event left a positive impact on the attendees, reinforcing the message that every girl deserves a fair chance at education and a prosperous life.

The team also highlighted government initiatives and schemes meant for women empowerment and asked them to avail the opportunities for their overall upliftment.
