DIC organises seminar cum awareness camp on PMEGP at GDC Ramban
RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 20: District Industries Centre, Ramban today organised a seminar cum awareness camp on Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) here in the Government Polytechnic College to create awareness about the flagship self-employment scheme being implemented by the Industries & Commerce Department in the district.
At the outset of seminar, Principal Polytechnic College Vivek Mahajan delivered a welcome note besides asking the participants to avail the advantage of this awareness programme on PMEGP which has been launched by the Government to facilitate the youth to become self-reliant under Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan.
Welcoming the participants, General Manager District Industries Centre Ravinder Kumar Anand highlighted the schemes being implemented by the Department to encourage the youth to become job creators instead of job seekers.
Block Investigator DIC Ravi Danaishwar Singh also elaborated the incentives offered under the PMEGP scheme through a PowerPoint presentation. He sensitized the participants about procedure and uploading of application Forms besides the benefits of enrollment with DIC.
The students of Government Polytechnic College were told about various benefits and subsidies they can get to start their own ventures by availing financial assistance under the PMEGP scheme in manufacturing and service sectors.
The aspiring students were motivated by the scheme and they were willing to step ahead to avail benefits after completion of their courses under the PMEGP.
