DIC, RDD organize camp to identify beneficiaries under Vishwakarma scheme
SAMBA, October 18: District Industries Centre Samba in coordination with Department of Rural Development and other allied Departments under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Samba today organized an awareness camp for identification of targeted beneficiaries i.e. craftsmen and artisans under recently launched Prime Ministers Vishwakarma Scheme at Block Purmandal of District Samba.
The programme was aimed at sensitizing the participants regarding the newly launched PM Vishwakarma scheme, a fully funded scheme of Government of India which provides recognition and holistic support to the artisans and crafts people working with their hand and tools. The salient features of the scheme and the benefits available under the Scheme were conveyed to the targeted beneficiaries by the Functional Manager, Shehzada Noor ul Ain (FM DIC Samba) alongwith IPOs of DIC Samba and a drive was launched to identify the eligible artisans and craftsmen and their enrollment under the scheme was started. The programme was conducted under the overall supervision of General Manager, DIC Samba, Surinder Paul Sharma.
During the session a threadbare discussion was held to devise a holistic approach to identify the beneficiaries for effective implementation of the scheme.PRI members who attended the camp offered to extend their full support in identification of the targeted beneficiaries for maximum enrollment under the scheme. The awareness camp was attended by Avtar Singh (DDC Member Purmandal) and PRI members of Block Purmandal.
All participants expressed gratitude and thanked the government and District administration for organizing an awareness programme on the scheme in order to identify the targeted beneficiaries for enrollment. More such programmes will be held at block level in District Samba in coming days.
