DIC Reasi organises Awareness Program on PM Vishwakarma Scheme
REASI, December 19: To empower local artisans and promote economic growth, the District Industries Center, Reasi, today organises an awareness programme at Salal Kotliyan Panchayat as part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
The primary focus of the initiative was to raise awareness about the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, a visionary program aimed at fostering skill development and entrepreneurship among the skilled workforce.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra served as a platform for the District industries Centre to directly connect with the community, providing them with comprehensive information about the various facets of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. Through interactive sessions, workshops, and informative materials, the department seeks to elucidate the benefits and opportunities available under this initiative.
The PM Vishwakarma Scheme, launched by the government, is designed to empower traditional artisans, craftsmen, and skilled individuals by providing financial assistance, training, and access to markets. It aligns with the broader vision of fostering self-reliance and promoting the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Functional Manager DIC, Anwar Banday and FM Ankur Kalotra encouraged active participation from local communities, artisans, and stakeholders to make the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra a success.
