DIET Doda, Pratham Collaborate to empower Grade 1-3 Mothers with Developmental Skills Workshop
DODA, June 12: District Institute of Education Research & Training (DIET), in collaboration with Pratham Education Foundation Doda, organized a workshop for mothers of children in grades 1, 2, and 3.
This empowering workshop was hosted across 10 educational zones in the District with the aim of discussing the developmental skills goals of NIPUN BHARAT and FLN.
Recognizing the vital role of mothers in their children’s life, the workshop emphasized the importance of their involvement in nurturing and shaping their young ones. During the first five years of a child’s life, the synaptic networks in their brain are still forming, making this stage particularly crucial for development. Children are highly receptive to human contact and interaction during this period, making it essential for parents to engage them in cognitive, social, and emotional activities that will shape their future selves.
One of the key aspects discussed in the workshop was the significance of maintaining communication between mothers and their child’s teacher. By staying updated on what their child is learning in the classroom, mothers can reinforce and transfer this knowledge in the home setting. This collaborative approach extends the teaching beyond the classroom, resulting in a more positive learning experience for children. Ultimately, it helps children perform better in school, fostering their confidence and overall ability.
The success of such workshops lies in their ability to establish a strong bridge between government schools and communities. By bringing together education professionals, mothers, and other stakeholders, these workshops pave the way for achieving the goals of NIPUN BHARAT and FLN. Continued efforts in organizing such workshops in the future will further enhance the partnership between schools and families, leading to the holistic development of children and the realization of educational targets.
The DIET Doda and Pratham collaboration have demonstrated a commitment to empowering mothers and harnessing their vital role in their child’s education. Through these workshops, mothers are equipped with the knowledge and skills to support their children’s learning journey effectively. By nurturing a strong bond between schools and communities, we move closer to the vision of NIPUN BHARAT and FLN, creating a brighter future for our children.
