DIET Kishtwar organises series of events under ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ Campaign, Gandhi Jayanti celebration
KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 30: DIET Kishtwar hosted a series of events including drawing, Essay writing, Rangoli, Rashtragan singing competitions and multiple other events at its campus. Students from more than 20 High Schools and Middle Schools participated with zeal and zest.
The workshop was inaugurated by In-Charge Principal and attended by about 100 students from Government High School Pochall, Government High School Cherhar, Govt High School Banderna and many Govt Middle schools of district Kishtwar.
Farooq Ahmed Giri, Sr. Lecturer was the key resource person in the inaugural function. He enlightened the gathering on Mahatma Gandhi’s life, his social works and efforts to inculcate the ‘Dignity of Labour’ in the Indian society.
Later, the students took part in different activities including making and designing beautiful Rangolis, caricature of portrait Gandhi (Bapu) poster making and drawing competitions. All the participating students were later felicitated and encouraged to participate more and more in future to highlight the achievements and non violent approach of Gandhi Ji across the society.
