DIET Leh organises Proficiency training, observes Int’l Mother Language Day
LEH, February 21: As part of ongoing Winter Training at DIET Leh, a five-day Proficiency in Practical-based training for the Science teachers of High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools of Leh District commenced at DIET Leh. Likewise, a six-day Proficiency in Reading Urdu, Bhoti and Hindi also commenced.
Further, the week-long FLN English and Numeracy training for the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) teachers of Khaltse, Kharu and Leh zones concluded today at DIET, Leh.
Simultaneously, DIET Leh observed International Mother Language Day, where Senior Teacher Tsewang Dorjey and Teacher (Balti) Ali Baga spoke on the importance of implementing Mother Languages in Primary Schools as per NEP 2020 and added that it will help to preserve the language and culture.
In another activity, National Teacher Awardee 2020 Sonam Gyalson delivered a session on the best practices implemented in his school during the on-going Capacity Building Training of Head teachers of Primary Schools. In charge of Mid-Day Meal, Tsewang Rigzen conducted a session for Head teachers of Middle Schools.
