DIET Leh organises traditional folk song and dance program 

Leh, June 7: As part of the Janbhagidari events celebration, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh today organised a traditional folk song and dance program at Govt. Primary School, Skara Yokma.

Principal, DIET, Tsetan Dorjey was the chief guest of the occasion. He stressed upon the need to promote one’s culture and tradition. Further, he added that the promotion of the same at the foundational level as per National Education Policy (NEP 2020 ) guidelines is important.

The event was attended by the School Management Committee (SMC), Village Education Committee (VEC), parents, villagers, teachers, and school students.

Janbhagidari events are being celebrated in all Govt. schools across Indian States from 1st to 15th June, 2023. The first theme is ‘Ensuring Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, especially in the context of blended learning’.
