Differently girl raped in Mumbai’s Kurla, case registered
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 30 (ANI): A 27-year-old differently-abled girl has allegedly been raped by a man living next to her house in the Kurla police station area of the city, said police.
According to the police, the victim stays with her 65-year-old mother in Kurla. The girl, who is mentally and physically challenged, has been undergoing treatment at JJ Hospital for several years.
The accused is the victim’s neighbor, who often helps her mother with household chores, leading her to trust him.
The incident occurred when the accused called the victim’s mother around 5 pm and requested that she send her daughter to his shop to get ‘khichdi’ (a dish made from rice and lentils). The mother sent her daughter to the accused’s shop.
When the victim returned home around 7:30 pm, she appeared very scared, and her mother noticed blood stains on her daughter’s salwar. When asked about it, the victim narrated the ordeal.
The victim’s mother went to the accused’s shop but found it closed. She then complained about the accused at the nearby Kurla police station.
Following the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused under sections 64(2), 64(2)(1), and 64(2)(C) of the Indian Penal Code.
However, the accused has yet to be arrested, and the police are looking for him.
