Digi-week mela takes off at Udhampur

       UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 01: The three-day Digi-Week Mela commenced in Udhampur District, and on the second day today, Deputy Commissioner,  Saloni Rai visited the venue to engage with the participants.

      During her address to the participants, DC Saloni Rai shed light on various digital services introduced by the Government of India and the UT Administration, emphasizing their significance for the general public. She urged attendees to take full advantage of these digital services and expressed her satisfaction with the initiative to organize such a digital event, bringing essential services to the people’s doorsteps.

       Saloni Rai underlined the importance of the “Digital India” campaign, launched by the Indian government, which aims to promote technology usage and transparency in official operations. She reiterated the campaign’s objective, which is to make government services easily accessible to all citizens through IT-enabled interfaces, expanding the digital infrastructure across the country.

         During her visit, the DC, accompanied by the ADC, inspected the stalls set up by various government departments to provide information about a range of online services introduced by the Government of India. She also interacted with officers and assessed the progress of these initiatives on the ground.
