Digital Week celebration 2023: Mega awareness camp held at Sub Division Banihal

RAMBAN, September 04: Series of activities including Digital Melas, Awareness programme were held across Ramban district to mark the celebration of Digital Week-2023.On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam, a number of awareness programmes were held in different areas of the district as a part of Digital Week Celebrations aimed at enhancing digital literacy among the Stakeholders.  

Mega Digital Week celebration programmes were held at Sub Division Banihal under the supervision of SDM, Zaheer Abass Bhat.On the occasion,   senior officers of different departments sensitized the people about On-Line services being provided by their respective departments as they gave demonstrations and hands-on training.The departments provided on spot e-services being offered by them, including Aadhar enrollment, Golden Cards,  services of Revenue department, Horticulture, Agriculture,  Holistic Agriculture Development Schemes, RDD schemes besides other services that can be availed online by the public.Speaking about the weeklong “Digital Week-2023”, the SDM Banihal   said that the initiative has been launched to provide easy access to Government schemes and services and enhance digital literacy among the people, besides adapting technological interventions to ensure citizens centric services in an efficient, prompt and effective manner.

The   Digital week camps were also held in other parts of the district where the line departments showcased their online schemes to the people and enrolled the beneficiaries.
