DIPR Cultural Unit organizes Symposium, Painting Competition at GHS Meen Sarkar Samba

“Nasha Mukt Bharat”

JAMMU, MAY 21: Cultural Unit, Department of Information and Public Relations, Jammu today organised a Symposium and Painting Competition on the topic “Nasha Mukt Bharat” at Government High School Meen Sarkar Samba.


The event was organised to engage with the students and sought their views on the challenges posed by drug abuse. The students efficiently underlined the steps needed to be taken to combat drug abuse. They also presented skits, rap, poems, songs etc.


Students were judged on parameters of Pronunciation, Modulation of Voice, Factual Representation, confidence etc.


Manjeet Kour, Charnder Prabha and Bhupinder Kour were the Judges for the day.


Nisha Chadda, teacher of the school, hosted the event.


A total number of 10 students participated in the Symposium competition. First position was secured by Priya, second position by Jafia and third position was bagged by Khushi.


In the painting competition Sania, Madhu and Tania got first, second and third prizes.


Headmaster of the School, Bharat Prasad educated the students regarding the topic and lauded the Department of Information & Public Relations for organising the programme in the school.


Among others, staff members and students witnessed the programme.


The whole programme was conducted under the supervision of Cultural Officer Jammu, Nasir Ahmed Khan.
