DIPR Jammu conducts cleanliness drive as part of Swachhata Pakhwada
JAMMU, AUGUST 5: In a spirited display of civic responsibility and community engagement, the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Jammu spearheaded a vigorous cleanliness drive today as part of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada and ‘Suchita Sangram’ campaign. This initiative, conducted under the guidance of Joint Director Information, Atul Gupta, aimed to commemorate Independence Day while promoting a clean and hygienic environment.
The event, held at the DIPR Media Complex Jammu, witnessed enthusiastic participation of Officers and Officials including Deputy Director (PR) Jammu, Ankush Hans, Deputy Director (HQ), Virender Gupta, Field Publicity Officer, Mukesh Sharma, Cultural Officer, Nasir Khan, Youth Information Officer, Monika Sambyal, along with other Officers and staff members
Joining hands in support were representatives from the Jammu Municipal Corporation, led by Joint Commissioner Abdul Satar, underscoring the collaborative effort towards cleanliness.
Speaking at the occasion, Joint Director Atul Gupta emphasized the pivotal role of cleanliness in fostering a prosperous society, stressing the need for collective action to set high standards for cleanliness across communities.
He also underscored the profound connection between cleanliness (Swachhta) and public health. He emphasized that maintaining high standards of cleanliness is not merely a matter of aesthetics but a fundamental requirement for ensuring community health and well-being. He highlighted how cleanliness directly contributes to preventing diseases, reducing healthcare costs and promoting overall public health. By stressing collective action to uphold these standards, he conveyed that a clean environment is essential for fostering a prosperous and healthy society.
