Dir Agriculture Kashmir visits Hi-tech Poly-houses in Narkara Budgam

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 26: Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today visited Hi-tech poly houses in vegetable cluster at Narkara Budgam.

Speaking to the Agri entrepreneurs at Narkara, Director underscored the importance of vertical expansion in vegetable cultivation. He said under Holistic Agriculture Development Program HADP, department is working on a special project for round the year cultivation of different vegetable crops.

He said the vegetables in these hi-tech Poly-houses is one such step in this direction. He said to achieve this goal department has established Hi-tech Poly-houses in all the districts of Kashmir division.

Director Agriculture highlighted the Importance of conducive agro-climatic conditions of the valley and asked the farmers to diversify their agriculture operations.

He asked farmers that the department would provide all the technical assistance to them in comprehensively performing their agriculture activities.

Chawdhury said, we have huge potential so for as the vegetable sector is concerned that needs to be explored for the overall economic development of the region.
