Director Agriculture inaugurates Jalprayah Autotech Pump Controller

JAMMU, JUNE 26: Director Agriculture Jammu, Arvinder Singh Reen on Wednesday inaugurated the Jalprayah Autotech Pump Controller at the Agronomist Vegetable Development Scheme, Krishi Bhawan, Jammu.


The initiative aims to enhance sustainability in farm irrigation amidst challenges posed by erratic power and water supply. Agronomists Vikas Padha, Ruchita Rane, Tarang Patel, and Nitin Rane from Intech Harness Pvt. Ltd. were also present on the occasion.


“The Jalprayah Autotech Pump Controller represents a significant leap forward in agricultural technology,” stated Director Agriculture Jammu, Arvinder Singh Reen. “By automating critical irrigation processes and mitigating the impact of erratic power and water supplies, this innovation aims to improve farm productivity, conserve resources, and support sustainable agriculture.”


The newly launched Jalprayah Autotech Pump Controller is poised to revolutionize farm irrigation practices by addressing these issues. Designed to seamlessly integrate with existing setups, this innovative controller features built-in logic for automatic ON/OFF switching and time recovery mechanisms. Utilizing embedded software and microprocessor technology, it aligns with national initiatives such as the National Mission – Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.


Key features of the Jalprayah Autotech Pump Controller include seamless interface compatibility with existing starters or contactors, minimizing installation changes. It offers automatic management of pump operations, encompassing startup, shutdown, and time recovery without requiring human intervention. The controller is equipped with IoT-enabled capabilities for precise data-driven irrigation management, ensuring optimal water use efficiency and promoting crop health. Additionally, it includes an India-specific patent application to protect intellectual property rights and enhance product affordability, making it a robust solution for modernizing farm irrigation practices.


The introduction of this technology addresses not only the immediate challenges in farm irrigation but also contributes to achieving higher farm incomes through enhanced crop yield and reduced environmental impact. It is poised to play a crucial role in advancing India’s agricultural sector.
