Director Agriculture takes stock of Agriculture scenario in Pulwama
PULWAMA, APRIL 08: The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Choudhary Mohammad Iqbal today visited Pulwama and took stock of the area under the vegetable crops.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director Agriculture expressed satisfaction over the working of the officers/officials of the department in the district.
He laid emphasis on the crop diversification and reiterated that during 2023-24 an additional area under vegetables and pulses should be brought under the crop diversification. He interacted with the large gathering of the farmers and assured them all help from the department.
Further, Iqbal said that this year there is huge increase in the oilseed cultivation in the Kashmir division which is having a vast potential to increase the livelihood of the farmers and double their income to achieve the target of socio-economic transformation of the farming community.
