Director Agriculture visits Khanmoh & Balhama areas of Srinagar
Inspects Vermicompost Units, Borewell & Packhouse Units established under HADP
SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 16: The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today visited Kanmoh, Balhama areas of Srinagar district and inspected Vermicompost Units, Borewell and Packhouse units established under Holistic Agriculture development programme (HADP) in these areas.
Speaking to the farmers at different places, Director Agriculture highlighted the importance of HADP and said that it will have a long term impact on agriculture and allied sectors in the region.
Director Agriculture asked the farmers to take advantage of all the projects under HADP. He underscored the importance of coordinated efforts among the agriculture and allied departments for the successful implementation of all the projects under HADP.
Iqbal impressed upon the officers of the department to organise farmers awareness programs and to accelerate the frequency of field visits so that the farmers could remain updated regarding the benefits of different programmes by the department.
Director was accompanied by Chief Agriculture officer Srinagar, Manohar Lal Sharma and other officers from the district.
