Director Animal Husbandry Jammu reviews performance of Department in Kishtwar District
KISHTWAR, December 22: Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, Dr. Shubhra Sharma today conducted a comprehensive review of the progress and initiatives in the Animal Husbandry sector in Kishtwar district.
Accompanied by Dr. Nadeem Ahmed, Extension Officer of the Publicity Wing, Animal Husbandry Department Jammu, the visit to district Kishtwar aimed at assessing the status of various programs and schemes.
The meeting witnessed the presence of Dr. Ajaz Hussain Patagaroo, CAHO Kishtwar, and several officers from the Animal Husbandry department.
Discussions centered on extending the reach of beneficiary schemes to a wider populace, highlighting the need for inclusivity and comprehensive coverage across the district.
Dr. Sharma underscored the importance of expanding the benefits of various schemes to benefit a larger segment of the community.
Her emphasis on inclusivity and accessibility aligns with the department’s goal of reaching every eligible individual and livestock owner in the district, ensuring they have access to the programs designed for their welfare.
During the interactive session, Dr. Sharma attentively listened to the issues and concerns raised by the officers. She assured them of proactive measures and solutions, reinforcing the department’s commitment to addressing challenges effectively.
In a bid to understand ground-level implementation and engage with local stakeholders, Dr. Sharma interacted with members of Self-Help Groups at the CAHO Office in Kishtwar. This interaction facilitated a closer understanding of community needs and aspirations within the ambit of animal husbandry initiatives.
In a significant gesture towards bolstering the district’s animal husbandry infrastructure, Dr. Sharma oversaw the distribution of Artificial Insemination (AI) Kits and cryocans to six newly trained MAITRIs. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of services provided and streamline the AI process for livestock breeding, ultimately benefiting the farming community.
Dr. Sharma’s visit and proactive engagement highlight the commitment of the Animal Husbandry Department in fostering progress, inclusivity, and sustainable development within Kishtwar’s animal husbandry sector.
