Director Fisheries, MD JKHPMC inspect Common Incubation Centre at Anantnag
ANANTNAG, February 27: The Director Fisheries, Mohammad Farooq Dar and MD JKHPMC, Imam ud Din today inspected the Common Incubation Centre at Anantnag and witnessed its first trial run.
The visiting dignitaries expressed belief that the UT can benefit from a much higher yield from its waters through the implementation of effective local measures.
Imam ud Din interacting with the workers at the facility said that the Government is committed to providing necessary infrastructure for necessary value addition and private entrepreneurs must come forward and benefit from such facilities.
The facility, constructed at a cost of Rs 2.45 crores, is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that will enable private fish farmers to freeze, process, and package their produce, thus increasing its value and helping them to fetch better prices.
The Director and MD were accompanied by Joint Director South, Fisheries, Officers from Fisheries and HPMC, among others.
