Director RDD Jammu reviews progress of developmental works in Poonch, Rajouri
JAMMU, March 02: In order to ensure the timely completion of works/projects, Director, Rural Development Department Jammu, Mohd Mumtaz Ali visited various blocks of Districts Poonch and Rajouri and inspected number of developmental works executed/being executed under various schemes of RDD.
In Poonch, he held a detailed review meeting with ACD Poonch, ACP Poonch, XEN REW, BDOs of District Poonch and all the staff of the Engineering Wing (REW Poonch) on 28.02.2023, wherein the progress of various schemes/plans i.e . MGNREGA, PMAY-G, RGSA, UT Capex being implemented by RDD was reviewed in detail, instructions were passed on for timely completion of targets as per timeline under all the schemes and warned poor performing Blocks to improve the performance. He also took extensive visit of Blocks Mendhar, Balakote and Mankote of District Poonch where he interacted with Officers and Officials of RDD, PRI members and general public and also inspected various developmental works executed under different schemes of RDD and obtained feedback from the general public in implementation of Schemes of the Department.
In Rajouri, a review meeting was held on 02.03.2023 wherein ACD Rajouri, ACP Rajouri, all BDOs and the Engineering staff of REW Rajouri were present and a detailed review was taken of all the aforesaid development schemes of RDD and afterwards he took extensive tour of District Rajouri and visited Doongi, Manjakote, Nowshehra, Lamberi and Siot blocks wherein he inspected various works executed/being executed under different schemes of RDD and interacted with officers and officials of RDD, PRI members and general public and redressed their issues.
He instructed the Field staff to work professionally for Quality in works and to complete the works as per timeline assigned by the Department with the participation of PRIs for monitoring the execution of works.
He directed all the RDD officers/officials to achieve targets/indicators as per timeline fixed by the Administrative Department and directed the field staff to work with dedication, zeal and honesty so that pace of execution is geared up in larger public interests.
