District admin organises Quiz, Creative Competitions in Ramban
RAMBAN, AUGUST 10: The District Administration, in collaboration with the Education Department, organized a series of attractive, informative and motivational events at various levels across Ramban district under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary.
During the competition, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, VarunJeet Singh Charak, addressed the gathering. He emphasized the significant contributions of freedom fighters and highlighted the importance of recognizing our role in upholding the democratic values achieved through their sacrifices. He urged participants to take pride in flying the Tiranga high in every aspect of development and progress.
The events were structured across four categories: Primary, Middle, Secondary and Higher Secondary levels. The quiz competition commenced at the school level, followed by zonal-level contests, and culminated in the district-level finals held in District Administrative Complex Ramban. Participants from various zones, who emerged victorious in the preliminary rounds, competed in the final quiz. The quiz focused on themes such as the Environmental issues and Conservation, The Role of Freedom Fighters in India’s independence movement, Martyrs, and Civic Responsibility.
In addition to the quiz, open competitions in painting and story writing were conducted on the themes “Unsung Heroes” and “Freedom Fighters,” encouraging students to express their creativity while honoring the legacy of India’s past.
The winners and participants were felicitated with certificates and prizes for their outstanding performances, reflecting their dedication and understanding of the themes.
The event was graced by Chief Education Officer, Bikram Singh, District Information Officer, Ashraf Wani, DYSSO Jagdesh Sharma, Principal of GMHSS Ramban Kewal Sharma and other dignitaries.
