District Administration Bandipora holds Mega SVEEP Rally to promote Voter Awareness

Nukad Natak & Balloon releasing ceremony add colour to SVEEP Rally


BANDIPORA SEPTEMBER 14: The District Administration Bandipora on Saturday organized a mega rally under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative to promote voter awareness.


The rally, which started at NM Higher Secondary School Kaloosa and concluded at Nishat Park, was flagged-off by General Observer Nelson Eyon Bage, General Observer Ramniwas Yadav, and District Election Officer, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri.


RO 15- Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Wani, Election Nodal Officers, DIO and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.


The event featured enthusiastic participation from students, government officials, and volunteers, culminating in a Nukad Natak and balloon-releasing ceremony to encourage electoral participation.


The event saw enthusiastic participation from Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, AAYAs, students from various schools and colleges, NSS and NCC volunteers, officers and officials from various government departments and youth volunteers carrying placards with voter awareness messages aimed at increasing voter participation.


Speaking on the occasion, DEO said that the rally was aimed to raise voter awareness and urged all eligible voters to use their right to franchise and participate in the festival of democracy.


Following the rally, a vibrant Nukad Natak (street play) and a balloon releasing ceremony was hosted at Nishat Park Bandipora where the officers released gas filled Balloons in air to raise awareness.


Balloon releasing ceremony was led by RO 15- Bandipora Shabir Ahmad wani, along with Padmashree Faisal Ali Dar- Brand Ambassador SVEEP activities and Chief Education Officer/ Nodal Officer SVEEP Kishore Kumar.


Artists of Al-Kareen theatre Institution staged a Nukad Natak highlighting the importance and power of vote that attracted a huge audience and added colour to the event.


The Nukad Natak conveyed the message that every vote matters and encouraged the audience to exercise their franchise. Artists also called on the youth to actively promote electoral participation within their families, relatives, friends and general public.
