District Child Protection Unit organises Anti-Child Labour Day in Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, June 12: The District Child Protection Unit Kishtwar, in collaboration with the Special Juvenile Police Unit Kishtwar, organised an Anti-Child Labour Day in the slum areas of Kishtwar. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of education and discourage child labor.
Parents and guardians were encouraged to prioritise education and enroll their children in schools. An Aadhaar center operator was also present to assist in creating Aadhaar cards for the children, ensuring their eligibility for school admission.
The District Child Protection Unit is committed to protecting the rights of children and eliminating child labor in the region. Events like the Anti-Child Labour Day aim to create a safe environment for children, fostering their growth and providing them with opportunities for a better future.
Speakers at the event included Special Juvenile Welfare Officer (Sub Inspector) Manjeet Singh, Protection Officer (National Informatics Centre) DCPU Kishtwar, Touseef Iqbal Butt, Legal cum Officer DCPU/JJB Basharat Nazir and Protection Officer (Investigation Cell) Deepika Bandari.
