District Development Commissioner chairs Vidyalaya Management Committee meeting at JNV Reasi
REASI, DECEMBER 15: District Development Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan chaired a Vidyalaya Management Committee ( VMC) meeting here today at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya The School Principal extended a warm welcome to the Chairperson and other committee members.
The Principal gave a detailed presentation outlining the school’s activities. Various agenda points were discussed, addressing crucial issues such as the development of math, science, and social science parks, ensuring alternate water connections, 24×7 power supply, and the installation of high mast lights and solar lights.
District Development Commissioner Mahajan, passed necessary instructions to the concerned committee members to expedite the resolution of issues faced by the Vidyalaya. Emphasizing the importance of student well-being, the DDC directed the Chief Medical Officer to organize a monthly medical checkup camp in the School.
During the meeting, the DDC proposed a comprehensive plan for student engagement, suggesting educational tours to prominent places such as Highest Railway Bridge, Anji Bridge and holy Shrines and other tourist destinations in Reasi. The proposal also included waste management initiatives, urging the creation of pits for garbage disposal and the implementation of segregation at source .
In line with fostering innovation and a holistic educational experience, the District Development Commissioner recommended that the school should have a weekly class to explore and discuss new innovative solutions to the existing problems.
He appreciated the School faculty for their commitment to academic excellence and overall development at JNV Reasi.
Later, DDC Mahajan attended the Annual Day event at JNV, interacting with the students. The event featured a captivating cultural program performed by the students, leaving the audience enthralled.
In his address, the Principal revealed notable achievements including that of a student from JNV Reasi, who has been selected in the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) 2023.
During the annual day function, District Development Commissioner Mahajan stated, “It is heartening to witness the exceptional talent displayed by the students of JNV Reasi. Their participation in sports and cultural activities not only fosters holistic development but also contributes to building a well-rounded personality.”
DDC Mahajan applauded the efforts of both students and faculty in organizing such a vibrant and engaging Annual Day celebration.
