District Development council meeting held at Doda

 Chairman seeks timeline completion of development projects

DODA, DECEMBER 22: District Development Council Doda met today in the Conference Hall of DC office complex under the chairmanship of District Development Council Chairman, Dhananter Singh Kotwal.

Block Development Council Chairpersons and District Development councillors put forth and discussed various issues of public importance in the meeting. Issues regarding held up roads and other projects, timely completion of taken up projects, minimizing power cuts, establishment of new grid stations, augmentation of existing PDD infrastructure, erection of crash barriers on roads, pending payments and other issues and bottlenecks hampering the achievement under different developmental schemes were discussed in detail.

The heads of departments present in the meeting were asked to note down and come up with effective solution of the raised issues in shortest possible time. The CEO of the Council (ADDC) Doda Pran Singh was entrusted with the task to get the response from the concerned departments and compile it and presented before the Council along with his comments/ remarks.

The DDC Chairman discussed issue related to execution of Jal Jeevan Mission Schemes and sought early installation of  approved transformers and poles in rural areas of district. He also discussed issue of areas  which don’t have electricity facilities  and asked the SE JPDCL to take necessary  steps  to provide electricity supply to uncovered areas.

 The Chairman further asked the SE  PWD (R&B)  for  early construction of taken up school buildings.

He directed the concerned officers to work in coordination and consult BDC Chairpersons, DDC Councillors and PRIs before proposing new works under different heads and also consult them when any issues hamper the development. 

The meeting was attended by DDC Vice Chairperson, Sangeeta Rani; BDC Chairpersons, DDC Councillors, ADDC (CEO of the Council), SE PMGSY, SE JPDCL, SE Hydraulics Doda, CPO Doda, ACD Doda, DIO DIPR, CMO Doda, DYSSO Doda, Ens of PWD, PMGSY, and other concerned officers and officials.
