District Election Authority hosts Training for Nodal Officers at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, September 12: In anticipation of the forthcoming Municipal Elections, the District Election Authority Kishtwar, under the guidance and supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav who is also the District Election Officer (DEO), organized a one-day comprehensive training program for Nodal Officers here today  in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex.

This intensive training program encompassed a diverse range of critical topics, including security protocols, Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) preparation, strict adherence to the Model code of conduct, execution of SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) initiatives, rigorous expenditure monitoring, effective media communication strategies, adept material management, seamless manpower coordination, SMS monitoring, computerization/randomization procedures, and meticulous transportation planning.

During the training programme, emphasis was laid on the pivotal role of Nodal Officers in harmonious collaboration and efficient coordination to uphold the values of a free, fair, and transparent Urban Local Bodies election.

State Level Master Trainer (SLMT) Riaz Ahmed Butt provided a comprehensive overview of the roles and responsibilities assigned to each designated Nodal Officer.

Speaking on the occasion, ACR Kishtwar Varunjeet Singh Charak encouraged all attendees to actively engage in the training programs and adhere rigorously to the guidelines established by the Election Commission of India (ECI), in order to facilitate a seamless election process.

Furthermore, it was informed in the meeting that  Nodal Officers have been entrusted with the task of devising meticulous plans and submitting them within the stipulated time frame to the Deputy District Election Officer (Dy DEO) Naresh Kumar, thereby ensuring the smooth and equitable conduct of the upcoming municipal elections.

Joint Director Planning also shared valuable insights into the ongoing preparations and activities undertaken by the district in anticipation of the forthcoming Municipality elections.

Among others, the officers and officials of the District Election Cell also remained present on the occasion.
