District Election cell intensifies SVEEP Activities in Ramban

RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 07: In an ongoing effort to reach every voter across the district, the District Election cell, led by District Election Officer (DEO), Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, continue its Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities.

These initiatives are aimed to encourage citizens to cast their votes in the upcoming Assembly Elections 2024, ensuring a free, fair, and transparent electoral process.

As part of these efforts, the SVEEP team today conducted an outreach program in the remote village of Thatharka, Sangaldan. The event was led by the Nodal Officer, SVEEP for Banihal Assembly Constituency, Jamsheed Ahmed Khan. He engaged with the students of Government Model Higher Secondary School, Thatharka. The students were encouraged to motivate their family members and neighbors to participate in the voting process on September 18.

The students were also educated on the use and benefits of the c-Vigil mobile app, ‘Home Polling’ options, and the National Voters’ Service Portal (NSVP).

To further emphasize the importance of voting, students expressed their views through drawings and speeches, demonstrating their commitment to the electoral process.

Another SVEEP awareness program was organized by Nodal Officer SVEEP for Women Welfare/Awareness for AC-54, Shailni Chandel, at Government Higher Secondary School Gandhri and High School Bhatni. The program focused on inspiring students to encourage their peers, families, and neighbors, with a particular emphasis on increasing voter turnout among women.

The events saw the active participation of a large number of voters, teachers, Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and students.
