District Election Office Doda hosts training session for Poll Parties, Micro Observers and Anganwadi Workers
DODA, SEPTEMBER 16: The District Election Office Doda, under the directions of DEO Vishesh Mahajan, on Saturday organized a one-day training session in preparation for the upcoming Municipal Elections 2023. The comprehensive training program was designed to educate and empower various individuals involved in the electoral process, including Presiding Officers, Polling Officers, micro-observers, and Anganwadi Workers.
The training session was conducted by Dr. Akhter, an Assistant Professor Urdu at GDC Doda. Dr. Akhter provided a thorough demonstration on the proper usage of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the Municipal Election 2023. During the training, special emphasis was placed on the significant role of observers and their active participation in ensuring a fair and transparent election.
Presiding officers and polling officers were meticulously trained on their specific roles and responsibilities. This included guidance on conducting the voting process with integrity, meticulously verifying voter identities, and safeguarding the secrecy of each vote cast. Micro-observers were also equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfill their vital role in closely monitoring the election process and promptly reporting any irregularities or violations that may arise.
In a notable inclusion, anganwadi workers, who possess valuable familiarity with the local communities were actively involved in the training. Their presence adds an essential community-oriented dimension to the electoral process, ensuring that the election remains inclusive and representative of the diverse population of Doda. This comprehensive training program underscores the commitment of the District Election Office to conduct Municipal Elections 2023 with the highest standards of fairness, transparency, and inclusivity.
