District Institute of Education Research & Training (DIET), Pratham Foundation host District-Level TLM Exhibition
DODA, June 15: District Institute of Education Research & Training (DIET) and Pratham Education Foundation joined hands to organize a district-level Exhibition of Teaching-Learning Materials (TLM), Models, Toys, and Puppet Show at Government Higher Secondary School Boys in Doda. The event aimed to promote the goals of NIPUN BHARAT and Ensuring Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) through colorful and attractive TLM designed for children in the foundational learning grade.
Teachers from different schools from across District Doda actively participated in creating the TLM exhibits, focusing on blended learning methodologies. The exhibition featured different stalls dedicated to TLM, Models, and Toys, showcasing the collaborative efforts in nurturing foundational literacy and numeracy skills in students.
The Exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, District Information Officer Mohammad Ashraf Wani, while Sandhra Malhotra, Principal of DIET Doda was the Guest of Honor.
Pankaj Sharma, District Coordinator of Pratham Doda, and other officials including DNO Janbhagidari Kismat Singh and Assistant Technician Chander Prakash were also present.
A panel of judges, consisting of Principal GHSS Malothi, Rakesh Kumar Chadha; Principal GHSS Berraru, Anjeel Kumar and Senior Lecturer, GHSS Khellani, Mohd Ahsan, assessed the exhibits. In the TLM category, Zone Assar secured the first position, followed by Ghat in second place and Doda in third place. In the Models category, Zone Bhatyas claimed the first position, with Thathri and Assar securing second and third positions, respectively.
The Toys zone saw Doda securing the first position, followed by Ghat in second place and Assar in third place. Lastly, the Puppet Show category saw Zone Ghat securing the first position, followed by Assar in second place and Doda in third place.
The exhibition served as a platform to showcase the efforts and creativity of educators in promoting foundational literacy and numeracy. It not only celebrated their achievements but also provided an opportunity for knowledge sharing and learning from one another’s innovative teaching practices.
