District level Bankers’ seminar on credit needs in Agriculture & Allied sectors held at Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, JUNE 09: A District Level Bankers’ Seminar for Credit Needs in Agriculture and Allied Sectors was held today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Sachin Kumar Vaishya here in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex .
The visiting officer, Chief Executive Officer, Livestock Development Board Jammu, Dr. Raman Kumar Gupta; Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Shyam Singh and District heads of allied Departments including Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Sericulture, Head KVK, Marketing officer HPM, Kissan Advisory Board member, Cluster Head J&K bank, Representatives of FPOs, PMFBY scheme and progressive farmers attended the event.
At the outset, Chief Agriculture Officer, Sanjay Anand welcomed the participants and explained the procedure and scope of the credit linked schemes like KCC, PMFME, AIF, AHIDF, FIDF, credit guarantee scheme for FPO, etc.
Speaking at the Seminar, the DDC called for simplifying the procedure for availing the credit by the farmers and to save them from making frequent visits to banks. He further urged the Bankers and the allied departments to work in tandem to achieve the goals of HADP launched by JKUT Government with the approval of Government of India.
The LDM was directed to facilitate the farmers and sort out the issues at personal level for the welfare of the farming community. The Officers were further directed to sensitize the farmers in their respective areas about the schemes run by the government.
DDM NABARD, Dr Sidharth Gautam presented a powerpoint presentation on various agriculture credit linked schemes.
An interactive session was and the queries of stakeholders were responded to by the bank officials and District Officers.
The Vote of thanks was presented by Dr Sukhbir Singh, District Subject Matter Specialist.
Among others present were DAO (Extn.), ASCO, SMS DL and SDAO, SMS SDL, Agriculture Extension officers, Agriculture Extension Assistants.
