District Level Dance competition held at SIKS GHHS Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 23: The office of the Chief Education Officer today hosted a District Level Dance competition in SIKS GHSS Boys Udhampur. The Chief Education Officer Geetu Bangotra was the chief guest and Deputy Chief Education Officer Kalpna Jasrotia was the guest of honor.
The competition commenced with an inspiring speech by Geetu Bangotra, accompanied by DEPO Udhampur Chand Krishan Pandita and Renu Kotwal, Vice-Principal of SIKS HSS Boys Udhampur.
The event was part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, fostering cultural fusion between Jammu Kashmir UT and Tamilnadu State. Eleven secondary level schools participated, showcasing mesmerizing Tamil dance performances.
Judges Sunita Tikoo, Amandeep Kaur, and Anuradha meticulously evaluated the performances. Supriya Sharma of GHSS Chak secured the first position, while Gudia of GHSS Barta grabbed second place and Tania Choudhary of GHSS Battal-Ballian won third place.
Rakesh Singh DRG, Vivek Gupta, and Amita Sharma PET played pivotal roles in the event’s success. Certificates of appreciation were presented to the winners and jury members, followed by refreshments to all participants.
