District Level Workshop on AWAAS Plus 2.0 held at Rajouri
RAJOURI, APRIL 26: A one-day District Level Workshop-cum-Awareness Programme on AWAAS Plus 2.0, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), was organized at the PWD Dak Bungalow by the District Administration Rajouri in collaboration with the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.

The workshop aimed to provide comprehensive insights into the key features of the scheme, the registration process and strategies for effective and timely implementation.
The programme was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, who underlined the significance of the timely and inclusive execution of the PMAY-G scheme to fulfill the vision of “Housing for All.”
During the technical sessions, field functionaries were sensitized about various processes involved in the implementation of AWAAS Plus 2.0, with a strong emphasis on enhancing efficiency and accuracy in data collection and beneficiary registration.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Vijay Kumar provided an overview of the programme’s targets and achievements so far. He called upon all stakeholders to work in close coordination to meet the objectives set under AWAAS Plus 2.0.
In a key directive, the Block Development Officers and registered surveyors were instructed to expedite the survey and registration processes, ensuring that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the scheme.
The event witnessed active participation from the Block Development Officers and field staff from the Rural Development Department, who engaged in detailed discussions on streamlining field operations to achieve the scheme’s goals.
