DLC Bandipora approves Rs.2.7 crore for 02 key educational projects under PMJVK scheme
BANDIPORA, NOVEMBER 21: Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Bandipora, Abdul Gani Bhat on Thursday chaired a District Level Committee meeting to review the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) scheme.
MLA Bandipora, Nizamuddin Bhat and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri were also present in the meeting.
The meeting approved two crucial educational projects worth Rs.2.7 crore aimed at enhancing the district’s education sector. The sanctioned projects includes Rs.2 crore for the construction of an additional block at Arin Higher Secondary School. These projects are expected to provide better facilities and improve the quality of education for students in the area.
Chairman DDC stressed the importance of inclusivity in the development process. He called for equal opportunities for all communities to participate in and benefit from developmental initiatives, highlighting that this is essential for building a balanced and equitable society.
MLA Bandipora expressed his appreciation for the DLC’s efforts in approving these important projects. He emphasized that these initiatives will significantly enhance educational opportunities in the region, addressing critical developmental needs.
Bhat also lauded the DLC’s commitment to accelerating the approval process, ensuring timely decisions and implementation.
The DLC outlined a broader development agenda focusing on various sectors, including health, skill development, sports infrastructure, and access to clean drinking water and sanitation. These initiatives are part of a holistic approach to ensure inclusive and sustainable development in Bandipora.
Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to identify potential locations for additional healthcare facilities in the district. He also urged concerned officials to prioritize the socio-economic upliftment of minorities, which is a key focus of the PMJVK scheme.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to advancing developmental goals and ensuring effective implementation of PMJVK initiatives.
The meeting was attended by District Program Officer, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Lead District Manager (LDM), Chief Education Officer (CEO), and other officials from various departments.
