DLIC approves 28 Cases under Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative, Mumkin schemes at Shopian
Make strenuous efforts for maximising reach of employment generation schemes: DC
SHOPIAN, December 05: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting was held today at Shopian under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, who is also Chairman DLIC.
At the outset, Assistant Director Employment, Hafsa Qayoom informed the meeting that 18 cases under Mumkin Scheme and 13 cases under Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative (SEI) have been placed for sanction of the District Committee.
After thorough deliberations, all the 18 cases under Mumkin Scheme and 10 cases under SEI were found feasible and approved.
While chairing the meeting, DC directed the concerned to ensure wide dissemination of information regarding the benefits of the scheme and take strenuous efforts for identifying more and more persons for pursuing entrepreneurship for generating meaningful employment.
He said that the employment schemes are aimed to provide the employment opportunities to a vast number of youth and eligible beneficiaries should avail opportunities provided under different employment generation schemes for their economic empowerment.
DC said that the Government is committed to provide better employment opportunities to the youth by establishing their own income generating units and the department must aim for covering all desirous candidates under these schemes.
The meeting was attended also by Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Shopian, Shahbaz Ahmad Bodha, LDM, Shopian,Farooq Ahmed ,ARTO, Muazzam Ali, Assistant Director Planning, Tawseef Ahmad DSWO, Showkat Ahmad, Nodal Officer, EDI and other concerned.
