DLL organises a 3-days skill development workshop for college students

JAMMU, March 2: Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu in collaboration with Government Degree College, Marh and Government Polytechnic college for women, Jammu today organised a 3-days workshop on beautician skills at M Cube Centre, Mishriwala, Jammu.

The workshop was organised under the overall supervision of Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, Director, DLL. Prof. Rakesh Kumar Koul, Principal, Government Degree College, Marh inaugurated the workshop. Ms Karishma Sharma was the resource person.

In his inaugural speech, Prof.Rakesh Kumar Koul, principal, GDC Marh elaborated on the importance of skill development programmes. He also appreciated the efforts of DLL for providing this opportunity to the students of his college.

Dr.Rewa Khajuria, Counsellor, EIAB, DLL and coordinator of the workshop while highlighting the objectives of the workshop said that the beauty industry is full of career opportunities and such types of workshops would develop the student’s practical skills and provide a professional attitude to get success in this industry.

Prof. Ram Dayal faculty from GDC Marh was also present in the inaugural. About 15 students of the college registered for the workshop and were looking forward to learn these skills.
