DLSA Kathua organises Special Lok Adalat on Criminal Compoundable Cases, Traffic Challans

KATHUA, AUGUST 10: As per the Action Plan issued by J&K Legal Services Authority for the month of August, 2024 and under the radiant guidance of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Kathua Ashok Kumar Shavan, (also Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Kathua), a Special Lok Adalat on Criminal Compoundable Cases and Traffic Challan were organized by DLSA Kathua at District Court Complex Kathua today.

Three Benches for settling the referred Criminal Compoundable Cases and Traffic Challan cases were constituted in which Bench No. 1 was comprised of Surinder Kumar Thapa, Spl. Mobile Magistrate, Kathua and Neena Thakur, Ld. Distt Mobile Magistrate. Bench No.2 was comprised of Jeevan Kumar Sharma, Munsiff JMIC, Basohli, and Advocate, Shub Kumar, President, Bar Association Basohli. Bench No. 3 was comprised of Jyoti Bhagat, Munsiff JMIC, Billawar and Poonam Gupta, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Billawar.

A total number of 71 Criminal Compoundable Cases and Traffic Challan were taken up for their amicable settlement, out of which 65 cases were settled and an amount of Rs. 66,500 was realized as settlement amount.
