DLSA Udhampur hosts awareness program on World Day against Child Labour

JAMMU, June 12: District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur, under the Guidance of Chairman DLSA, Haq Nawaz Zargar and under overall supervision of Secretary DLSA, Ajay Kumar organized an Awareness Programme on World Day against Child Labour at Trikuta Brick Kiln, at  Neeli Nalha. The Programme was organized in coordination with the Labour Department and under the supervision of Pradyot Gupta, Assistant Labour Commissioner.

 The aim of the Programme was to raise awareness about the serious consequences of Child Labour and educate the masses especially Children about the various provisions provided under Law against Child Labour.

The resource persons ensured that no child is engaged as Labour in the Brick kiln. The Resource persons of the Programme were Panel Lawyers Adv.   Nikhileshwar Singh and Advocate Aakash Sanmotra and assisted by PLVs Rajinder Kumar and Sham Lal.

Later, Resource Persons thanked the Staff from the Labour Department present in the program and all the participants for the smooth conduct of the Awareness Programme.
