DLSA Udhampur organises awareness program on MVA, CMV rules for Police officials
UDHAMPUR, MAY 30: An awareness programme on the recent amendments in the Motor Vehicle Act, particularly Central Motor Vehicle (5th Amendment) Rules 2022, was organized today here under the Chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Udhampur, Haq Nawaz Zargar and under the Supervision of Secretary District Legal Services Authority Udhampur, Ajay Kumar.
The participants were the DySPs, SHOs and Investigating Officers from all police stations of the District Udhampur and ARTO Udhampur.
The Resource Persons were Advocate Rajesh Gupta and Advocate Sunny Mahajan. They apprised the participants about the various provisions of CMV Rules, 2022 particularly rules relating to first accident report, interim Accident Report and detailed accident report.
They were apprised about the duties imposed on the Police, Insurers, Registering Authorities and Medical Authorities by these rules for the expeditious settlement of the accident claim.
The higher Police Officials present in the meeting were directed to educate other Police Officials about these provisions so that the laudable object of the Legislation can be achieved.
