Doda Admin addresses important public issues at Block Diwas Outreach Programs

DODA, November 8: In an endeavor to better understand and address the concerns and grievances of the public, the district administration Doda on Wednesday organised a series of public outreach programs in different parts of the district under the aegis of Weekly Block Diwas. The initiative provided local residents with the opportunity to voice their concerns, which were then forwarded to the relevant government departments for prompt resolution.

The Block Divas meetings took place at  Panchayat Batoli, Block Chilly, Sub Division Gandoh, PWD Guest House Baggar, Panchayat Karmail, Sub Division Assar, and Village Halaran, Sub Division Thathri.

The program held at PWD Guest House Baggar, Panchayat Karmail, Sub Division Assar was presided over by SDM Lekh Raj, who listened to public issues and grievances. He instructed the concerned officers to ensure the prompt resolution of the raised issues and grievances. The public outreach program drew large gatherings of local residents.The block divas program at Panchayat Batoli, Block Chilly, Sub Division Gandoh was chaired by the SDM Ashraf Pervez along with the members of PRIs and others representative of the public.

Throughout the day, a range of public issues and demands were discussed, with some of the most prominent concerns including water supply, electricity supply, installation of electric poles, upgrading of transformers, school infrastructure, road connectivity, and healthcare centers. The discussions involved not only the general public but also members of PRIs, sarpanchs, panches, DDC Councillors, and BDC Chairpersons. The gathered concerns were directed to the respective officers and officials for speedy resolution.

The Block Divas events held at different locations witnessed large gatherings of local residents who had the chance to present their genuine demands directly to district officers. This initiative aimed to ensure that government services and benefits reach the people without unnecessary delays, making the governance process more efficient and responsive to the needs of the community.
