Doda Admin finalises arrangements for tourism, Yoga Day event at Jai Valley
DODA, JUNE 13: Doda administration is all set to host another mega event at Jai Valley on the International Day of Yoga to attract the fitness freaks, nature and yoga lovers and to promote eco-tourism in the region.
The administration is expecting more than 5000 tourists from different parts of the country and some foreign tourists. The event is a joint venture of administration and stakeholders involved in the tourism business and will give the district a distinct identity in the tourism sector. The information was given by Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan. He revealed that the event will be held on the 21st of June 2023 at picturesque Jae Valley Bhaderwah. Mahajan said that the arrangements have been discussed and finalised with the concerned stakeholders and shall be put in place in advance. It was informed that the event shall be managed by Youth Service and Sports and Ayush departments under the supervision of ADC Doda Chowdhary Dil Mir. All the officers and officials have been asked to attend the event. Security, traffic management, temporary toilets, setting of food and local product stalls, and other logistics were discussed in detail during the meeting.
The DC has extended an open invitation to all and has urged to schedule the date for the event and be part of the first of its kind Yoga/ Cultural/ Tourism event and expedition in the heavenly abode at Jai Ghati.
The meeting was attended by SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, ADDC Doda Pran singh, ADC Doda Dr RK Bharti, ADC Bhaderwah Ch Dil Mir, ACR Doda Sanjeev Kumar, ACP Doda Ashfaq Khanji, GM DIC Idrees Lone, DTO Doda Muzaffar Hussain, SE PWD, SE JSD, AD Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, CAO, CHO, DYSSO, CAHO, DIO, EO MC Doda and other concerned officers.
