Doda Administration organises weekly Block Diwas at Kastigarh; Addresses plethora of public concerns on spot
DODA, FEBRUARY 29: In a proactive move to engage with the community and to address their genuine concerns, the District Administration Doda organized a comprehensive Block Diwas cum outreach program at Kastigarh.
The event was attended by DDC Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal and Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh to provide a platform to the residents to voice their grievances directly to the authorities.
Upon the arrival of the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Doda, accompanied by other district officers, conducted a thorough inspection of the government department stalls set up by respective departments. The initiative allowed residents to directly communicate a myriad of issues directly to the concern officials present over there. These encompassed issues such as water and electricity supply, healthcare and school education infrastructure, road connectivity, demand for essential services like ambulance and women police, unemployment, and various government-sponsored schemes like MGNREGA and PM Vishwakarma training center at Kashtigarh.
While speaking on the occasion, DDC Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal thanked the government for providing the benefits of various schemes to the public at their doorstep. He also handed over the 16th installment of PM kissan to farmers.
District Development Commissioner Harvinder Singh assured the community that all their genuine issues regarding school infrastructure would be promptly addressed. He stressed the optimal benefits of schemes like the PM Kisan scheme and other employment generation schemes.
Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh highlighted the state’s achievement of securing the 2nd place in registration under the PM Vishwakarma scheme. He directed concerned officers to assess and resolve genuine and pressing issues promptly, reaffirming the government’s dedication to addressing local needs and ensuring forthcoming government-sponsored schemes and initiatives are accessible to residents.
In addition to addressing grievances, the District Administration assured to install solar lights in the area. While Chief Education Officer was directed to ensure the smooth functioning of schools. The Social welfare Department was directed to organize special camps in the remote areas for awareness of their respective schemes, reflecting the administration’s commitment for holistic development and welfare of the community at large.
