Doda: District level master trainers imparted training on Election Procedure

DODA, December 22: The Office of the District Election Officer, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh, organized a comprehensive training session for District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) in the Mini Hall in the DC Office Complex, here today.

The session aimed to provide in-depth training on the entire election process, from initiation to conclusion, in preparation for the upcoming elections.

District Level Master Trainers, including Dr. Akhter Hussain, Professor at GDC Doda, and Dr. Nazir Ahmed, Principal of HSS Boy Bhaderwah, participated in the meeting. The primary focus was to equip the master trainers with detailed knowledge on essential election procedures, encompassing qualification and disqualification criteria, nomination processes, scrutiny of nominations, withdrawal of candidature, and the allocation of party symbols.

Officials from NIC Doda played a pivotal role during the training hours, providing insights into various information technology applications, particularly those related to the election process, including counting applications. Additionally, crucial aspects such as the District Election Management Plan, poll day arrangements, schedule for the enforcement of the model code of conduct, and the handling of EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines) and VVPATs (Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail) were thoroughly discussed The training emphasized the significance of effective management during elections, covering key areas such as poll day logistics, adherence to the model code of conduct, and the intricate process of EVM and VVPAT counting leading up to result declaration. The participatory approach of the session ensured that District Level Master Trainers are well-equipped to contribute to the smooth conduct of elections in Doda district.
